SAN NICOLA
Piazza San Nicola is situated in the place once called "Bellamania", where the church of San Nicola was built (usually followed by the specification 'in Bellamania') which was, together with S. Maria delle Curti, one of the parishes of Anacapri. Over time the name of the church passed to the square obscuring Bellamania. With the opening of the church of the nuns, San Nicola was then gradually abandoned but the shape of the old temple covered by a large barrel vault and the apse with stuccoes is still clearly visible through the large door to the left of San Michele. The church of San Michele Arcangelo built between 1698 and 1719 inside which there is the majolical floor did in 1761 by Leonardo Chiaiese depicting a composition of Adam and Eve in the earthly paradise, unique around the word because it combines different pictorial models.
